ABUJA -A gale of retirements may have swept across the federal civil
service as president Mohammdu Buhari may have concluded plan to relieve
about 17 Permeant Secretaries of their duties.
This is coming ahead of the swearing in of the ministers-designate on Wednesday.
Some of the permanent secretaries led by the new Acting Head of Civil
Service of the federation, Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, held a closed
door with the president at the presidential villa.
It is not yet known what transpired at the meeting but feelers said
that the president may have communicated the development to them.
Most of those affected were those senior to the acting Head of Service.
It was gathered the development brought tears to the Oyo-Ita at the meeting as she felt for the Permanent Secretaries
