Nollywood Actress, Funke Akindele, popularly called Jenifa, has taken jabs at haters in the Nigeria movie industry, calling them ingrates and saying she never expected much from them.
The producer of top-grossing movie ‘Jenifa’ and sitcom ‘Jenifa‘s Diary’ said they (the haters) get on her nerves. Although she did not mention names, she expressed deep sadness as she said she showed help and support, but all she gets are ingrates.
Funke Akindele, who, in a recent show of benevolence, assisted a fan in purchasing a tricycle, popularly known as ”Keke Napep”, in pursuit of his pharmaceutical career, an action that drew lots of commendations from other fans.
She however said a word of prayer to be granted serenity to accept them and the courage to maintain self-control to not let whatever it is happen again.
In her words ‘’Hmm lots of ingrates around but I tell myself to never expect too much from people. They so get on my nerves!!! They forget easily!! In all I give thanks for being able to help and support. #godrepaysfavors #staypositive’’
The actress, who is known for her comic relief in movies, came to limelight after featuring in popular United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) sponsored sitcom ‘’I Need to Know’’, which ran from 1998 to 2002.
In 2009, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Funke Akindele also has a TV hit show titled ‘Jenifa‘s Diary’. The actress was said to have been in a romantic relationship with UK based singer JJC Skillz.
